I’m pleased to report that non-emergency 101 waiting times continue to show longer term improvement.

Over the last year, there has been an increase in 101 calls. But despite this, the great call handling teams answered more, and faster.

Average waits fell from 2mins 10seconds at the start of last year to 55seconds this January over all of the 36,000 calls that month.

And call attrition – where people can’t connect or hang up – halved to around 5% of calls.

And don’t forget – you can report crimes online at www.kent.police.uk, call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111 or use the Country Eye app.
